2012 is going to be an awesome year.
Here’s my news: I’m joining forces with two of my favorite people in the lean/agileUX scene, Jeff Gothelf and Josh Seiden, to create a consulting company called Proof. In short, Proof is an product innovation and design studio that (not surprisingly given our team) delivers a lean/agile, cross-functional, results-oriented approach.
Our goal is to help clients, whether startups or large companies, design, build and validate new digital products and business lines. We want to make stuff that matters, and through the process of close collaboration, teach our clients great processes along the way.
2011 was an interesting year for me with lots of great collaborations and learnings. I came to a fork in the road. One path led in-house to product-lead positions; the other emerged as the opportunity to build Proof. Once I realized that Josh, Jeff and I shared a vision for what a new kind of innovation agency could look like, I couldn’t resist the pull.
I want to stay deep in the mud and clay of innovation. Not fluffy, consultant-speak, pie-in-the-sky innovation, but meaty, practical, lean, visionary-yet-validated innovation. In other words, startup-like innovation — no matter how big the client.
And I’m excited to be doing it with such awesome partners as Josh and Jeff — who are real product people to the core.
